I caught Covid. I can’t get a hug
After nearly 2 years of ducking and diving, I caught covid some days ago. Alhamdulillah, I’m feeling better now so appear over the worst. Still feel weak, slight headache and body aches.
Alhamdulillah, no one else at home has got it so I’m mainly stuck in my room. I can’t hug my wife, kids or elderly relatives due to sheikh covid’s fatwa 🙂 . Compared to some of you who had it, my symptoms have not been too bad, alhamdulillah. It’s felt like a flu.
Been sleeping a lot and making more duas than usual (as you realise no one can grant you health except Allah (swt)). I’ve watched a lot of things including several documentaries and done a lot of reading. I also tidied the clothes in the wardrobe like I have never done before (great youtube tuorials) -my wife will be impressed. I’m also decluttering the room.
I’ve had my jabs and taken precautions but finally caught it. It’s a reminder that we need to take our precautions but always remember that our life is in Allah’s Hands and nothing happens to us – good or bad – except by Allah’s will and He always has the best plans for us.
May Allah (swt) grant us all health and keep us worshipping him till we return.
Hadith on Health: O Allah, grant us wellness and make it enduring
Aisha (ra) reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to say, “O Allah, grant me wellness in my body, wellness in my sight, and make my sight endure within me. There is no God but You, the Forbearing, the Generous. Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the Great Throne. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.” [Sunan al-Tirmidhī]
