Qatar World Cup: Muslim Ummah Versus Zionists

One of the viral videos from the streets of Doha this week shows a group of Lebanese men walking away from a live interview with a reporter they have just learned is from the Zionist entity occupying Palestine.

One shouts over his shoulder: “There is no Israel. It’s Palestine.”

Another video shows an Egyptian football fan smiling as a Zionist broadcaster introduces him live on air. Then he leans into the microphone with a message: “Viva Palestine.”

Positives and Negatives at the World Cup

Qatar’s rulers have wasted over $220billion of the ummah’s wealth while babies starve in Afghanistan and Somalia. They are hosting a month-long Arcadia Music festival during the world cup and have allowed alcohol sales in several places.

They host US and UK planes and drones at Al-Udeid airbase -providing them a launchpad from which Muslim countries are attacked. Qatar’s rulers violate Allah’s shariah in so many ways.

A positive thing during Qatar World Cup

One of the few positives from the Qatar World Cup this week has been the Muslim ummah’s rejection of their rulers attempts to normalise relations with the Zionist entity.

Qatar’s rulers have accommodated football fans and media from the Zionist occupiers of Palestine.

Qatar does not have official ties with the Zionist entity but has given special permission for direct flights from Tel Aviv and allowed Zionist diplomats to be stationed at a travel agency in the country.

Muslim fans support Palestine

Muslim fans from Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Algeria and elsewhere have also carried the so-called ‘Palestinian’ flags prominently at matches and worn it as capes around their necks.

The so-called ‘Palestinian’ flag actually has a problematic history in relation to the Arab Revolt against the Uthmani Khilafah. That is at odds with Islam, so I would not carry that flag.

However, I understand that many who carry it do not know its problematic history. For them, carrying it is because they hold praiseworthy Islamic sentiments that lead them to stand in support of our ummah in Palestine.

Qatar’s officials welcome Zionists

As of the beginning of the tournament, nearly 4,000 Zionists fans had received entry visas to Qatar, though the Zionist entity’s official said it was expected that as many as 20,000 Zionists could ultimately end up going.

Ummah reject occupiers

A man from the Zionist entity told a reporter that the organisation of the tournament and atmosphere in the country were excellent, but there was one drawback: “The majority of the masses here do not accept the presence of Israelis.”

Another said “Sometimes we say that we are from Cyprus.”

The viral videos have shown that though some of the so-called Muslim rulers have signed agreements acknowledging the Zionist entity occupying Palestine and started building trade and security ties, the Muslim populations refuse to accept the Zionist entity.

The Muslim ummah still seeks the liberation of Palestine as Allah (swt) ordered. This will happen once the Islamic Khilafah state is re-established in the region soon, inshaAllah.

One man said “I was so excited to come in with an Israeli passport, thinking it was going to be something positive,” he said. “It’s sad, it’s unpleasant. People were cursing and threatening us.”

🧔 What have I been up to?

I did a TikTok LIVE Q&A on Muslims and the Qatar world cup. I also had some brothers join me as guests.

We had plenty of questions and comments. Having a lot of interaction with a live audience at short notice is one of the positives on TikTok. I hope to do more. Join me if you’re on TikTok.
