The Uthmani Ruler And The Old Woman
It has been related that an old woman entered the hall of the ruler Sulaiman Al-Qanooni (Ottoman Sultan, Sulaiman the Magnificent), complaining to him about his army that stole her livestock while she was sleeping in her house.
The ruler said to her reproachfully, “You should have stayed up and taken care of your livestock!”
She glared at him and quickly responded, ”I thought that you were awake watching over us, my leader, and so I slept with a peaceful mind.”
The ruler said, “The truth is with you!”

🧔 What have I been up to?
I’ve been recovering from a cold. Whole family came down with it.
I was due to speak at the United Muslim Convention in Birmingham but had to miss it. I was really looking forward to that. Maybe next year, inshaAllah. May Allah (swt) grant you and us health.
📖 Ayah and Hadith
قُلْ يَـٰعِبَادِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ ۚ لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا۟ فِى هَـٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةٌ ۗ
وَأَرْضُ ٱللَّهِ وَٰسِعَةٌ ۗ إِنَّمَا يُوَفَّى ٱلصَّـٰبِرُونَ أَجْرَهُم بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ]
Say ˹O Prophet, that Allah says˺, “O My servants who believe! Be mindful of your Lord. Those who do good in this world will have a good reward. And Allah’s earth is spacious. Only those who endure patiently will be given their reward without limit.” [Az-Zumar 39:10]
