Best answer destroys atheist on God and suffering

Uthman Badr responds to Stephen Fry

“Bone cancer in children? How dare you create a world in which there is such misery that is not our fault.”

“It's not right. Why should I respect a capricious mean minded, stupid God who creates a world which is so full of injustice and pain?”

That was Stephen Fry repeating a popular argument atheists bring to claim there is no Creator because there is so much suffering in the world. This is known as ‘the problem of suffering’ or ‘the problem of evil’.

Some believers in God (including Muslims) struggle to respond to this argument and it can plant seeds of doubt in their minds.

The most powerful intellectual response

Uthman Badr’s response to Stephen Fry is one I have to share because it is the clearest and most powerful intellectual response I have come across. Watch the short video.

In short, Uthman destroys the atheist’s claim by explaining three issues; that the reason there's suffering in the world
1)is a function of free will
2)is due to the fact that life is a test, and

3)fact that life is a pathway to an afterlife and this life is relatively less important than the afterlife.

Watch and share this powerful video so we can destroy doubts raised by secular atheist’s arguments which sound clever, but are actually quite weak.

“Most of them follow nothing but ˹inherited˺ assumptions. ˹And˺ surely assumptions can in no way replace the truth. Allah is indeed All-Knowing of what they do.” [Sura Yunus 10:36]
