I’m Sick and Al-Aqsa is under attack again

17th April 2022

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

Some of my new best friends are paracetamol, cough syrup and other medicines. I’m sick with a cold. Please make dua I get well soon.

Al-Aqsa and another Ramadan

We woke last Friday to news of another attack on masjid Al-Aqsa, the first qibla of our ummah. In recent years, it seems ramadhan is not complete without an attack on Al-Aqsa, and that is not to mention the daily attacks our ummah faces all over occupied Palestine.

Please watch and share Dr Abdul Wahid’s important message regarding our response to these attacks.

Muslims in India

Hindutva mobs with swords chanting outside your local Mosque and threatening rape and murder. This has been some of the many videos showing what our ummah in India are facing.

India imports oil from the Muslim world and the Gulf region (Middle-East) alone contributes more than 50% of the total remittances (money sent home) to India by Indian workers. So, if the so-called Muslim rulers cared, they could use that as leverage and demand the Indian government stop the mistreatment of Muslims. These rulers don’t fear Allah (swt) or care for this ummah.

May Allah (swt) protect our ummah in India, Palestine, Yemen and elsewhere and enable us to be their voice. Make dua that Allah (swt) bless us soon with a leader, a Khalifah who implements the shariah revealed in Ramadan and is a protection for Muslims as the Prophet (alayhi salam) said
إِنَّمَا الْإِمَامُ جُنَّةٌ يُقَاتَلُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَيُتَّقَى بِهِ

Verily the leader is only a shield (protection) behind whom they fight and he protects them” [Muslim]

Please share the newsletter. Thanks.

Love and salams,

Taji

🧔 What have I been up to?

Sick in bed so I haven’t been out much. I’ve been more active on twitter responding and following issues including the controversy over Mufti Menk’s iftar in UAE.

📖 Ayah and Hadith

وَإِن تَعُدُّوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ لَا تُحْصُوهَآ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

“If you count the bounties of Allah, you cannot count them all. Surely, Allah is Most-Forgiving, Very-Merciful”. [Sura An-Nahl 16:18]

Quote of the Week

Iyās Ibn Mu’awiyah رحمه الله stated: Those who recite the Qur'ān but do not know its tafsīr are like a people who received a letter from their king during the night but do not have any lamp with them, so alarm comes over them and they do not know what the letter contains. But one who knows its Tafsīr is like a man who brings them a lamp so that they can read what the letter contains.
